The Paddy Power Irish Open is the longest running No Limit Texas hold ’em poker tournament in Europe. Incidentally it’s also the second longest in the world after the World Series of Poker. First organized in 1981 by maverick Irish bookmaker Terry Rogers, the tournament is one of the world’s most prestigious live poker festivals and has become a fixture on the international poker calendar. Today, the event takes place minutes from Dublin’s city center, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dublin – Burlington Road, which offers luxurious accommodation, modern facilities and a warm welcome in the heart of Dublin’s leafy south side.
